Here is a photo of the wedding party!
Although my dad had written 1981 on the back of this photo I think it was taken before I went to big school so I might be 10! What awful hair!! My Mother is a very 'functional' woman and thought that a sensible short haircut was the best choice for a swimmer (as I was then). This was the state of me through puberty and I was often mistaken for a boy, Perhaps that is why I make the most of my assets now! (See photo below).
I had a happy childhood as an only child and spent post of my younger years living in a small village called Winston. Lately I took my girls to the river where I spent most of my holidays and weekends with my other village friends. They were shocked and disapproving when they discovered the things I used to get up to and to be honest I have thought about my childhood at times and consider myself lucky to have ever made it to adulthood in one piece! (Now the kids know why it has taken me so long to allow them to walk to the end of the street on their own).
Anyway as you can see I reached adulthood. I have three beautiful daughters and two more lovely kids to add to my family when I marry David. I work at Teesside Hospice as The Fundraising Manager and when I am not doing this I am running after kids, washing up etc. In my free time I like snuggling with David and the children and putting my old body though some serious work out with Zumba and Body Pump.
My aim for the next forty years is to stay happy and fit and earn enough money to take the family on holiday at least once a year. I know that seems like a simple aim but I think most of you would agree that it is more difficult than it sounds!.
Life started for me a couple of years ago, that's a clue as to how old I am! I thought my chance of love had passed me by but then I met Jane and it's been an interesting journey since then to say the least.
We both love Italy and have been there twice together and so it seems appropriate that we should be getting married in the Tuscan/Umbrian countryside, surrounded by vineyards in the rolling hills. We wanted to get married outside and with the Great British Summer, we decided that it had to be somewhere overseas to stand a decent chance of reasonable weather!
The photo above is of me when I was 11 years old and still remotely cute. The one below is of me on top of Vesuvius, in 2010 when we visited Sorrento and the surrounding area. I've worked in IT for the past 8 years or so and am currently an entrepreneur, doing various bits and pieces to earn a crust.
I have two wonderful chidren and this will increase to 5 once we get married, it certainly keeps you busy looking after so many children although luckily they get on well (most of the time!).
